FSE Group

The FSE Group (“FSE”) was established in 2002 and is unusually positioned as an experienced FSA-authorised Fund Management group which is also a not-for-distribution social enterprise (C.I.C.) in its own right.

FSE’s mission is to support economic growth and social impact through provision of growth finance and support to enterprises of all kinds, in areas of funding-market failure.

FSE achieved this through the design, development and delivery of innovative funds and capital support programmes that address the needs of under-served communities (SME's and Social Enterprises). FSE has a strong track record in developing & managing equity, mezzanine, grant and hybrid financing structures on behalf of social, public and private sector stakeholders.

FSE is the fund manager for the Community Generation Fund (“CGF”), launched with investment from Big Society Capital and Esmee Fairbairn Foundation. This is a UK-wide social impact fund which enables communities in disadvantaged locations to develop, operate and retain ownership of community-scale renewable energy generation – creating social cohesion via the project itself and a long-term legacy of cash generation which can be recycled into local delivery solutions for local needs.
