Arrival Education

Arrival Education empowers young people to approach the fundamental question of 'what do you want to do in your life?'. Through partnership with the '1000 most aspirational work placements, participants are given the opportunity to work towards an aspirational and tangible outcome through the completion of a practical skills led course - alligning necessary developmental opportunities with clear goals. Facilitated in high acheiving corporate environments, participants work directly with high-profile programme partners to progress their leadership and practical skills - completing their dream 'aspirational work placement' within a year. Beyond fulfilling the 'success skills' programme, students have responsibilities as in-school leaders (peer leverage) - advocating for practical approaches amongst their peer group, leading and managing school related projects, and mentoring future programmme participants.

Students (14-15) are at a key junction in their lives yet at this vital point the discourse between hopes and self-belief can be the key barrier for many young people. Arrival will empower participants to follow their lofty aspirations, providing a supportive framework that highlights the skills required to realise their vision - bridging the gap between goals and the steps required to acheive them, building pro-active, engaged and motivated young people equiped with practical skills to achieve. Exposure to such environments will greatly increase the self-belief and direction of participants in their future life choices as well as their evolving attitudes to work, school and their greater lives. For many this exposure will be a sufficient catalyst to direct their practical school choices in the immediate future as well as a perspective on approaches in the longer term. For others, an ongoing relationship with such aspirational employers will lead to further work placements and routes into their dream industry. But for all, as ambassadors for the programme through the 'peer leverage' approach, participants will develop leadership skills for use within their school and the world at large.
