Application Details

Summary:

All our projects go through a structured screening process where they are assessed on the following basis:

Social impact: What is the depth and breadth of the social impact? Who is impacted? We are looking for projects that have a profound impact both on a given individual's quality of life and on society as a whole.

Innovation: How disruptive is the innovation? We are looking for projects which are not just innovative locally, but could bring a radical new approach on a national scale. Are you aware of other innovations similar to yours? What are they doing and why is your approach better

Sustainability: What is the business model for the project? How do you propose to bring in other sources of funding (earned, sales, contract income) to make the project sustainable in the long term?

Scalability: How is the project replicable or scalable? How do you see the project developing over time? We are looking for projects that can be adapted or applied beyond an initial pilot site or location on a wider basis.

If you have an idea and want to apply for support please read the criteria information and then follow the submission guidelines below.

Projects should aim to establish a new venture / organisation that address some aspect of educationial need. In addition these projects or ideas must have the potential to be sustainable - ensuring there is a viable funding route to continue in the future, and scaleable - with the potential to move beyond a unique starting location.

Studio Schools

Studio Schools™ continue to gain momentum following its recent launch and inclusion in government speeches and thinking on promising education initiatives. This builds on the momentum established by the national pilot that started last September at Barnfield College in Luton and the detailed planning for studio schools now being conducted at eight local authority areas around the UK.
