Mydex

Mydex is the Young Foundation supported project to put people back in charge of their personal data.

The Mydex team believe in the fundamental importance and implications of allowing individuals to realise the value of their personal data themselves, instead of having inaccurate approximations of our data spilling through a shadowy world of CRM systems, credit reference agencies. Eventually personally-managed data will help remedy the shortcomings of a database state large parts of which seem to be left lying around on laptops and memory sticks.

This is UK social enterprise at its most ambitious. With the Young Foundation's support Mydex is in discussions to make this a global Community Interest Company, regulated in the UK and rooted here in Bethnal Green.
