Strive for simplicity Our PeopleThe TeamSummary: The Launchpad team is a part of the Young Foundation and consists of individuals with a broad range of experience in different sectors combining hands-on experience from the commercial, technology, charity and public sectors. The team works as social entrepreneurs, bringing extensive experience of start-up ventures, turn-arounds and front-line management experience. Our real expertise is in starting social ventures and where appropriate we work with specialist consultants or partners to help us fully understand the sector context for each new venture. Our role is to find and select the most promising ideas, either working with entrepreneurs to take an idea forward or working as entrepreneurs ourselves. About LaunchpadSummary: SummaryLaunchpad is a platform for turning promising ideas into new ventures. We currently have two active early stage social venture funds; the NESTA-Young Foundation Health Launchpad (health and long term conditions) and Learning Launchpad (education and practical learning); Launchpad has a long term vision that spans areas such as climate change, sustainability, innovation and justice, marginalised groups and the hard to employ.
